'I don't know what I was thinking': Beautiful stray cat with unique fur pattern steals the heart of unsuspecting purrson, takes over their home in a matter of minutes

Howdy, feline fam. Just like in Harry Potter, most of the time, the cat chooses the purrson and not the other way around. We're referring to the famous scene where Harry "chooses" his wand, but Ollivander tells Harry that it's the wand that chooses the wizard. You may think that you're the one doing the choosing when you go to pick up a shelter cat, but those cats have already judged you four times over before you even locked eyes with them. They already decided if they were going to come up and "let you" pick them.

In the story below, a beautiful stray cat with a unique swirly pattern befriended a neighborhood resident. They convinced the purrson to let them inside, and that was that. The cat, in a matter of minutes, took over the house and convinced the hooman to let them stay. We all know that there is no arguing with a cat, so we wish these two a pawsitively happy life together. Read through the whole story by scrolling down!

  • What did you expect? He has to do a quality control check to make sure his new house is up to his standards. We'll have to move this here, that couch there, and he'll need his own mini-couch, obviously.

    katealpha Update #2 He used a make shift (paint pan) litter box! As I was leaving to work, he did not get up to get to the door this time. It's definitely a nap time

    katealpha I went to Walgreens to get the litter and food. When i came back, we both went downstairs but he came right back in. His or her fur is seriously mated and tangled

    on one side. Now i see he was more thirsty than anything else. Meowed for the first time when he heard the sink on. I have to go to work so I let him be as he is about to nap. I am off on Friday so if he decides he wants to stay we will go to the vet.

  • Just first, maybe make sure he doesn't belong to someone else who just happens to let him roam around. Cats are purrfectly notorious for finding multiple families to care for them.

    darwin_green You might want to check out if they're not a neighborhood cat. They look pretty clean. Stray and feral cats tend to be pretty skittish.

    getdownsaber You will want to get some kind of flea treatment ASAP. An infestation can happen very fast. My suggestion is to get a seresto collar. They are on the more expensive side but they will treat the cat and bonus anywhere it is in the house. Last 8 months too.

    PM_ME_GOOD_DOGS Make sure you have the vet check to see if kitty is microchipped, that way you can be sure you didn't just steal someone else's cat. He looks pretty well cared for so it's possible he may just be a cat whose owners allow him to roam outside.
